The column that I read by Krista Ramsey was "Battling Cancer. Marie LePage knows that to hold onto." This column is very inspiring. It is about a woman named Marie LePage who had to battle with oral cancer for eight years. In surgery her tongue had to be removed. Marie now relies on using a tablet to communicate to her family/friends. Even though Marie LePage had to face cancer, and losing her ability to talk, she was still able to not take life for granted. "Notice something lovely today, she tells her family and friends and the readers of her blog. Use the good dishes. Turn off the TV and see the life all around you. Take care of each other. Don’t take yourself too seriously or other people’s actions too personally. Celebrate everything."  This part of the column really stood out to me. Marie LePage is basically saying don't take life for granted, and you should do everything you want to do and what makes you happy. In the end life is short, and the opportunities you have are limited. The syntax and diction that is used in this column is very powerful, and it makes you stop to think about your life choices.

In general Ramsey's writing style is very powerful to the reader. With her choice of words and phrases as a reader you will be able to understand the main message she is trying to put out in the column. In Ramsey's column "For better vision, kids need time outdoors" she uses good vocabulary like "sauntering to his car" and "For years, researchers have wrestled" This really makes the sentences stand out to the reader. In Ramsey's second column "Super Bowl QBs score points for great style" once again she uses great diction in her sentences. Such as "classic suits match up nicely with classy manners." In the third column that I had read by Ramsey "Battling Cancer. Marie LePage knows that to hold onto." the vocabulary that she uses allows the reader to actually understand the power of the column. For example "That a fat bank account and a joy-starved spirit are really life’s worst investment" These examples show Ramsey's powerful writing style.

If I was given the opportunity to ask Krista Ramsey three questions I would ask her " How do you get your ideas on each column you write?" "How long have you had a passion for writing?" " What is it like to write about people in everyday life? And the problems those people face?"
