Looking For Alaska Update

Blog Update:

I am a couple of chapters into the book Looking for Alaska by John Green, and I have to say that I absolutely love it! This book is very intriguing! It is sort of mysterious mostly because of  how  Alaska is acting. Due to what has happened past situations with her family. Also as most John Green books are, I can already tell that there is going to be a love connection between Miles and Alaska! Which gives this book a sensitive side. So far with what I have read this book is so good I cannot put it down! I cannot wait to see how everything plays out between Miles and Alaska in the end! I am just going to summarize a couple of things that have happened so far that I have read.

So far in the book Miles Halter has left his home in Florida to attend a boarding school in Alabama. The school that he is attending is called the 'Culver Creek Preparatory High School', during his Junior year. Miles has already been able to meet new people which are now his close friends. His closest friends are Chip Martin, who everyone calls "Colonel", Takumi Hikohito, who is known for his rap skills, and Alaska Young, who is the pretty girl at school but is emotionally unstable form past events. On Miles first night at Culver Creek, he was kidnapped and thrown into a lake. The kids that threw Miles in were known as 'The Weekend Warriors". They are a group of snobby rich kids that are from the richest area of Culver Creek. The reason the Weekend Warriors hate Colonial is because they accuse him and his friends for the expulsion of their friend Paul. So whoever Colonel hangs out with is who The Weekend Warriors is going to beat on...

I had stopped right around this point in the book, and I cannot believe that just because Colonel did something bad to one of the "Weekend Warriors" friends now everyone that he hangs out with will get beaten up, or thrown into a lake! I am very interested to see what will happen between Colonel, Miles, Alaska, Takumi and the "Weekend Warriors" group. I am wondering if Miles and his friends will plan on doing something to get revenge on the other kids or if they will just let them continue on bullying them? Like I have said before this book is very good and I am excited to see what will happen between Miles's group and the Weekend Warriors. Also I wonder if Miles and Alaska will actually start to fall for each other like I suspect they will!
